Christians taken to task over Ivy Kombo scandal

What in the world were they thinking?

By Brilliant Pongo (courtesy of Thazonet.com)

When Pastor Kasi and the now out of tune gospel singer Ivy were preaching and singing the a-  le-lu –ya’s by day with the congregation and living and sleeping in the same bed by night, in adultery.  Zimbabwean Christians in the pews and pulpits sang in chorus with them Nguva yakwana after Nguva yakwana: “What were they thinking?” That is a rhetorical question, of course; an exclamation of disbelief. But over the past few days I have been treating it as a real question.

Kasi is a paedophile. From what we are led to believe this man of gold (oops) or is it god started living with Ivy when Ivy was just about nine years old, so no one should trust this man (Is not this the same man who professed that Ivy was like a daughter to him only God knows what Kasi was doing with Ivy at that time) and to think that he purports to be a representative of Jesus puts paid to all my suspicions about the so-called Makristu these church leaders are criminals.

The Catholics are busy sodomising little boys vana father why they chose to be called fathers when they do not want to marry and do things the way nature intends boggles the mind. Why celibacy?  The Catholic Church is the only religious denomination that demands this sacrifice of its Priesthood and, today it is a church in crisis, a sexual crisis. Since 1960, two thousand Priests have renounced their vows and the intake of new Priests is shrinking dramatically.

For example, in Ireland in the early 60s there were six Catholic seminaries with over five hundred young men studying for the Priesthood, now there is only one remaining Catholic Seminary in the country with just 65 students. But even more disastrous for the church has been a scandal linking Catholic Priests in at least ten countries to Child sexual abuses. In Ireland Cardinal Desmond Canal now faces a staggering 450 legal actions on child abuse in his Archdiocese.

The Worldwide crisis in the Catholic Church begs many questions.  Is sexual denial healthy or can it sometimes become dangerous?  Is there any link between enforced celibacy and the apparent epidemic of child abuse by the Clergy and why enforced? When young men vow to renounce all sexual acts, thoughts and desires for the rest of their days, who benefits, God or the rest of mankind?

Then we have the Pentecostals or the so-called happy clappers who are out to steal peoples moneys there is no way out of this criminal masquerade that the white man used on us 150 years ago to steal our land and kill our spiritual leaders under the same Christian subterfuge, now its our very own black man making a killing we have church man flying around in private jets and driving luxurious cars while members of their congregation fork out their hard earned cash going without meals so that they can buy grocery ya mai Mufundisi this is criminal if anyone thinks its not then please tell me what is?

Are all these man not just after Gold? Yes they tell us they are man of God and true theirs is Gold not Mwari but Mari. One wonders if these so-called Churcrman/pastors/christians read the same scripture and get the same understanding that I get when reading the Christian bible I learnt a very important lesson in the book of Isaiah that Christians should not seek payment in the ministry (Isa. 45: 13).

In the New Testament this principle is reinforced in 1 Peter "feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being Lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. "And when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away." (1 Peter 5:2-4) Is the ministry a calling or a chosen career for you? That is what makes the difference. I am not a Christian but I have studied the Christian text (bible) and it is plain and simply in instruction and one wonders why those who profess to be Christians do not live according to their beliefs?

They claim to represent Jesus they claim to follow in his footsteps but correct me if I am wrong did not Jesus walk and go about on donkeys back? I am sure there was better modes of transport even in the standards of those days he could have had horses pulling chariots of the most exquisite gold with seats made of the softest feathers but did he do that? Today in Zimbabwe to be more specific the most luxurious homes are owned by self proclaimed prophets the Guti’s the Hutaunashe’s and the Kunonga’s are living in luxury at the expense of the congregations that they heavily tithe in the name of God our poor brothers and sister in Zimbabwe hard hit by poverty and have resorted to the Christian religion for comfort find themselves supporting the opulent life-styles of these so-called man of GOD (they are just after gold if you ask me)

So which Jesus is it that today’s Christians claim to follow? Is it just me that thinks the Christians are perhaps to most difficult group of people to understand someone please help me out here we probably have over 5million different Christian churches on earth today and about ten new churches are formed every hour or something like that.
If they all follow this one Jesus and they all read the same bible why do Christians have this confusion why do they not have one mode of worship surely there can only be one way to follow an instruction so there is perhaps one true church and the rest are nothing but fake masquerades out to confuse but most of all steal peoples money.

The idea that the churches have gone astray and lost their vitality and authority is in agreement with the judgment of some of our greatest thinkers, as the following references will indicate.

In a work prepared by seventy-three noted theologians and Bible students, we read: ….we must not expect to see the church of Holy Scripture actually existing in its perfection on the earth. It is not to be found, thus perfect, either in the collected fragments of Christendom, or still less in any one of these fragments….(Dr. William Smith, Smith's Dictionary of the Bible, Boston: Houghton, Mifflin and Company,1896) Roger Williams, pastor of the oldest Baptist church in America at Providence, Rhode Island, refused to continue as pastor on the grounds that there was: "no regularly-constituted church on earth, nor any person authorized to administer any church ordinance; nor could there be until, new apostles are sent by the great Head of the church, for whose coming he is seeking. (Picturesque America, or the Land we live in, ed. William Cutlen Bryant, New York: D Appleton and Co. 1872, vol. 1,p.502.)

If Jesus should come back to earth now, hear the mythologies built up around him, see the creedalism, denominationalism, sacramentalism, carried on in his name, he would certainly say, " if this is Christianity, I am not a Christian.

Why is it that those that seem to be the most devout of Christians in our day are converts to this Faith we have a lot of overzealous Africans now championing the Christian cause a relatively new religion to the Africans. My guess is to some parts of Africa the name Jesus is less than 250 years old and in some parts even less. We all know that most of our ancestors were forced to follow/convert to the Christian faith; history is littered with a lot of heinous acts that were carried out in the name of Christianity and surely no one in their sober state of being can tell me that the white man did not try to tell the African people that their ways of worship were evil and the only pure way was the Christian way our forefathers knew God they knew how to talk to him/pray the only thing the white man introduced to us was tithing, this guy called Jesus and all his friends known as the prophets and a day of worship which they (the white man still contend to this day) is it Saturday or Sunday?

There has been considerable difference of opinion among Christians as to whether they should worship on the seventy day of the week (Saturday), the Sabbath of the Jews, or the first day of the week (Sunday), the day upon which Christ arose from the tomb, called in Holy write, the Lord's day.

Oh the other thing the white men introduced to us was the building (church) as a place to worship in.

So don’t you go telling me that I am of the devil because I worship my God (the creator Musiki, musikavanhu and that’s no devil I can tell you that) in the most simply but pure way just as taught me, by my father. I am no Christian, no I am not Muslim, or any of the other foreign religions I am an African/Zimbabwean to more specific I am of the Korekore tribe from the heart of Mashonaland (Central) deep in the plains of Guruve/Dande nyika ye mhondoro, oh yes I am spiritual perhaps more than those who claim to be Christian.
